What influences us the most?
Beliefs are defined as what we hold to be true, it does not mean that our beliefs are true, we just belief them to be.
However we are influenced by them and we all try to get others to believe in us and similarly everyone works to get everyone else to believe in them.
Advertising is a method to get people to believe in their products so we will buy from them.
Lots of time and money is spent on developing trust and confidence and creating a need which transforms into purchasing.
What we really want is irrelevant as our belief system is being manipulated to believe that what we are buying is essential to our wellbeing.
From an early age we recognise that to survive we follow certain courses of actions as we mimic the actions of people around us.
At an age when our brains grow to puberty we start to challenge our early teachings and seek to find alternative answers.
For some of us we find comfort in accepting our early teachings as they are easier to understand.
After all everyone around us in our local area believes the same things so they must be true.
It’s when you finally leave your early influences, mentally or physically, and look other situations that we can find our original beliefs challenged.
Our choice then is to either take on board a new belief or strongly defend our original beliefs for the fear of being wrong for all that time introduces a deep guilt.
A strong belief controls us we have to ensure that we control our beliefs or others control us.
