Why can’t you do what you used to do?
Perhaps it has something to do with driving to work in the car, sitting at the desk at work, driving to the fast food outlet for the evening meal and sitting in front of the TV?
I may be wrong, but I doubt it.
Years ago it would have been a walk to work or at least a walk to the bus stop. Standing all day working a machine. Eating an evening meal of soup made from the weekend left overs. Then going for a walk to check out the folks after work.
I doubt if there was much prepared food with added salts and sugars with deep fried oil being eaten years ago.
I also doubt if there was a lot of car diving done either.
Another huge influence today is advertising, why do we buy most of this food enriched with additives? Does it really sound that good. It must do or we wouldn’t buy it?
Is it because we sitting up half of the night watching TV and surfing the internet?
Are we relaxing or putting ourselves under pressure by keeping in contact all the time?
Perhaps we should look at what we do eat, (check out the additives?)and drink (too much coffee and alcohol?)
Then we could look at a few brisk walks, less TV and sitting in front of the computer and switch off the mobile phones.
Every bit counts.
